In 2015, Simon was invited by Aardman to take part in Wallace & Gromit’s Children’s Foundation baa-rilliant charity event, Shaun in the City. The charity brought 120 giant Shaun the Sheep sculptures, created by artists, designers and celebrities, to green spaces and iconic locations across the cities of London and Bristol (UK) for the public to enjoy.

Tonight the whole flock will be go up for sale in a grand art auction and Mittens is Lot 46, in a unique opportunity to take home a wonderful work of art and raise funds to help sick children in hospitals across the UK.

Simon’s submission is named ‘Mittens’, and is adorned with lots of fun Simon’s Cat doodles. The description reads:

“Simon’s Cat is a charming yet cheeky character ‘ just like Shaun himself. Created by English animator Simon Tofield, this mischievous moggy has appeared in short films, books, games, and a comic strip, and gained millions of fans with his humorous antics. In Simon’s design his cat is up to his usual tricks, clambering all over Shaun’s fleece and having a whole lot of feline fun. This sculpture was painted by our in-house Shaun in the City artists.”
